There are six types of memberships:
1. Open Membership $82 - An open membership allows you to ride at any club in Australia, including club carnivals and events.
2. Club Membership $62 - This membership allows a rider to compete at their own club. You will NOT be able to compete at any other club or other clubs carnivals. You will also be unable to compete at open events held at your own club.
3. Sprocket Rocket Membership $80 - Sprocket Rocket membership is for any rider under the age of 8. The Sprocket Rocket program is a participation based program, taking the focus from competition to skill based learning programs. This allows children under the age of 8 the opportunity to tune their BMX racing skills in a fun non-competitive environment.
4. Day Permit $15 - Licence is restricted to official club practice or club day only. The green slip is a tax invoice only and is valid after payment and club verification only for the date of application. No membership card is provided.
6. Coaching Membership $22 - Coaching membership is aimed at all BMX Australia coaches. This covers coaches, within their coach accreditation remit, at any club in Australia and provides public liability, professional indemnity and personal accident cover. This also covers all administration fees.
Riders who are 7 years of age will be issued with a sprocket licence initially, and if they turn 8 during their sprocket membership they will be reissued an open licence which reflects their new age of 8.
